A traditional weaver’s cottage & grade II listed building.  Its spacious with high ceilings, spread over 3 floors.  There is exposed stone, brick and rustic beams everywhere.

Perfect for friends, couples, mum/daughter/girls, dads & grandads, mini moons, wedding stays or anyone who just loves cosy and characterful in this real home from home.

Designed around sustainability Cottage Pie is furnished with antique treasures and vintage finds, lavished with velvets, cottons & anti-allergen natural fabrics.

Tucked in amongst the valley’s hustle and bustle, set within the breath taking Holme valley on the backdrop of the Pennines.  Not forgetting it is the location of “Last of the Summer Wine” the longest running sitcom in the world.  Famous for its rolling green scenery and views.

Cottage Pie is perfect for walking and cycling or just gentle strolls into the town.  A great base to explore Yorkshire and the Peak District and a great central location to enjoy Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield & York.

“Cottage Pie” was built in 1790 as a working family home servicing the mills of Holmfirth.  The traditional “cottage pie” as we know it was also created in 1790 when the potato started to be regarded as a sustainable and affordable meal source.  A perfect name for the most charming cottage, we hope you agree.

Just a stunning and beautiful cottage! Do yourself a favour and book this amazing cottage, so tastefully decorated and cosy. The decor Gina has chosen fits perfectly and the home is welcoming and so perfect. The home is warm and relaxing, this really is how holiday rentals should be done. It is immaculately clean and the little touches provided made the stay extra special! Thank you so much.

Cottage Pie is a fabulous place to stay. The cottage is cosy, clean, well equipped and very comfortable. Myself and my daughter had a lovely long weekend here and would love to stay again. Highly recommended!

This was our second stay in Cottage Pie, and wow what can you say ! It’s an absolute stunning place to stay, the cottage and decor along with the attention to detail are second to none, it’s apparent that Gina the owner puts her heart and sole into this lovely cottage. Only a short walk from Holmfirth itself so ideal for exploring the local area and walks. If you want a beautiful stunning cottage in the Holmfirth or surrounding area this is definitely the cottage to book.

We had a wonderful stay at cottage pie. The cottage has a fully stocked kitchen that has all you could ever need. There are snuggly blankets and cushions a plenty and complimentary treats to make you feel at home.It's location is ideal for a strollInto holmfirth to visit the lovely shops, bars and restaurants .The real charm of this place has to be seen to be believed though. The original features and small touches the owners have put into it are stunning. We didn't want to leave and will certainly be back.Cottage pie is a magical place that has a little piece of my heart.

We loved our stay at Cottage Pie. The cottage boasts some gorgeous period features which gives the place a wonderful atmosphere.The cottage is sympathetically decorated with period furniture and the bright, bold colours on the walls add a more contemporary touch. So very well executed. Gina is obviously a host that cares, and this comes across in the communication, the extra touches, and how immaculately clean the cottage is. This is one very special holiday let.

WOW...this is a home from home experience (and better!) When I saw the 10/10 rating, I was excited. However, when we arrived we were astounded! The cottage is divine and far exceeded our expectations! It smells gorgeous, looks gorgeous and feels so special! All the added touches (sweets, real flowers, burners, candles, coffee pods, treats etc!) made it super special and very personal. I LOVE THIS COTTAGE and will return! NOTHING has been missed 🙂 I would highly recommend as I still miss it now a week on! I actually had a tear in my eye when we left! Gina is a very special lady and a very special host! Her communication and attention to detail is 10/10. A gem (both Gina and Cottage Pie!) A very special place and experience. Thank you x

If you’ve read the other reviews here for Cottage Pie, you’ll already have set your expectations. Let me tell you, if you book a stay here…. prepare for them to be massively exceeded. We were blown away with this hidden gem, just a short walk into the small town of Holmfirth. Gina was an incredible host and our three day stay went by so quickly that we genuinely wish that we’d booked a week. Thank you Gina…. We absolutely loved it. R&M

We stayed at Cottage Pie for three nights and it was perfect. On arrival, the cottage smelled lovely, it was warm and cosy. The place is decorated to a high standard and has interesting art in every corner. Little touches like coffee pods, fresh flowers and biscuits were great. We easily walked into town most days where there are plenty of pubs, independent shops, coffee places and restaurants. Surrounding area perfect for walks too. Overall this is the perfect ‘cosy cottage stay’ and we’d highly recommend. Gina the host was brilliant and always quick to respond with advice and making sure we had everything we needed to - thank you! X

Cancellation Policy

Please note, the reservation deposit of 20% is non-refundable.

Providing the Owners receive notification of cancellation not less than 1 month prior to the arrival date, the Guest will forfeit the deposit but will not be liable to pay the balance.

It is the responsibility of the Guest to ensure the cancellation communication reaches the Owners. If the cancellation is less than 1 month prior to the arrival date, the full balance remains payable. Within this time, cancellations will be considered.
